By booking a tour with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions, which outline the agreement between you and FiveLions Expeditions.
If you are booking on behalf of multiple travelers, you accept these Terms & Conditions on their behalf, including for minors and individuals with special needs. As the primary contact, you will be responsible for all communications related to the booking.
All booking requests must be submitted in writing.
A 10% deposit is required to confirm your reservation.
The remaining balance is due upon arrival in Tanzania.
Payments should be made without any bank charges, ensuring that the full amount is received by FiveLions Expeditions.
Within 24 hours of departure: 50% of the deposit will be charged.
Custom tours: Specific cancellation terms may apply and will be provided at the time of booking.
All travelers to Tanzania are required to obtain a visa. We advise securing your visa prior to departure, although it is also possible to obtain one upon arrival at Tanzanian airports.
Clients are required to disclose any relevant medical information at the time of booking. Each individual is responsible for evaluating their own fitness and ability to participate in the tour. We recommend consulting a healthcare professional to assess your suitability for the trip.
FiveLions Expeditions advises clients to seek medical guidance on vaccinations and health precautions. However, we do not provide direct medical advice.
Tanzania experiences a generally warm and humid climate. From December to March, the weather tends to be hot and humid, while April and May bring heavy rainfall. The most pleasant and dry months are from June to October. November is characterized by short rains. Temperatures typically range between 25°C and 35°C, with an average annual rainfall of approximately 20mm.
FiveLions Expeditions drivers and guides will escort you to suggested shops or souvenir stalls. We offer full support at no additional charge, accompanying you during shopping excursions to provide recommendations and ensure a seamless experience.
We will do our best to accommodate specific requests, such as dietary preferences and particular accommodation needs. Kindly inform us of these requirements at the time of booking.
FiveLions Expeditions collaborates with external partners, such as accommodation providers, airlines, and tour guides, to offer travel services. While we carefully vet these partners, we do not manage their operations and cannot be held liable for their actions or omissions.
These services are governed by the terms and conditions set by the respective suppliers, which may include liability limitations. Clients acknowledge that these suppliers operate under Tanzanian law, and FiveLions Expeditions cannot guarantee compliance with laws in other jurisdictions.
FiveLions Expeditions serves as an intermediary for various service providers, such as hotels and transportation companies, and cannot be held liable for delays, injuries, damages, accidents, or changes to itineraries caused by client negligence.
Clients are strongly encouraged to take preventive measures against malaria prior to their trip. We recommend consulting a healthcare professional for suitable prophylactic advice.
FiveLions Expeditions is not responsible for any delays or inability to deliver services due to events beyond our control. These may include, but are not limited to, war, political instability, acts of terrorism, labor disputes, natural calamities, severe weather conditions, and other extraordinary situations that hinder our ability to operate as planned.
We highly recommend securing comprehensive travel insurance that covers all potential risks for the entire duration of your trip. This should include coverage for medical emergencies, accidents, trip cancellations, and other unforeseen circumstances.
This agreement shall be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of Tanzania. All parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts for the resolution of any disputes arising from this contract.
